fossabot is now equally supported across GitHub and GitLab product offerings. FOSSA customers span the gamut of company sizes and many on the larger side have a mix of version control systems in use, or active migrations between them, such as self-hosted to SaaS.
Your choice of VCS provider doesn’t have to block your usage of fossabot!
Works with GitLab
fossabot now supports GitLab.com as well as self-hosted GitLab. As always, our goal is for engineers to be able to use fossabot in their normal workflow, which on GitLab means Merge Requests, slash commands, MR status checks, etc.
Authenticating users with GitLab is done via OAuth and connecting to your corporate instance can be done via OAuth or with a group access token.

Works with GitHub
fossabot’s GitHub support now expands to include GitHub Enterprise Server in addition to GitHub.com and GitHub Enterprise Cloud. GHES requires additional configuration for loading the GitHub application and then afterwards remains the exact same experience for engineers.
fossabot can be used alongside Dependabot when it’s configured to auto-create Pull Requests. Alternatively, fossabot itself can be in charge of selecting the best upgrade path and creating the Pull Request based on fossabot’s intelligently grouped upgrades.
